Answer

The total space usage reported on the GRID system is higher than the cumulative space usage calculated manually across all tenants.
This discrepancy arises because GRID's total space usage includes more than just the raw tenant data. It also accounts for:
  1. Object space: Actual data stored by tenants.
  2. Metadata: System-level information about stored objects.
  3. Replicated copies: Additional copies of data created for redundancy and high availability.
  4. Erasure coded fragments: Data fragments generated through erasure coding for fault tolerance and efficient storage.
