What changes to tenant creation in 11.9+ in regards to object lock compliance?

Answer

  • Starting in 11.9 and above in the tenant creation page there is now a field to set allowComplianceMode for S3 object lock which can be enabled or disabled.
    • By default this is set to disabled to ensure it is only used for tenants that need access to the feature due to complications that can arise from improperly using this feature.
  • This will allow you to disallow people from using object lock that do not need it instead of it being a GRID wide setting.
  • For any previous tenants they’ll adopt the settings they previously used.
  • So if a tenant was using compliance mode in a bucket they would automatically have it enabled.
  • You can edit the tenant to enable or disable this functionality.
