We are planning to shutdown DR for some days, will there be any impact on DC sight

Answer

  • If DC and DR are separate grids connected via Grid Federation, shutting down the DR grid has minimal impact on the DC site:
  • DC operations continue normally — ingest and retrieval on the DC grid are unaffected.
  • Replication enters a backlog — objects that cannot be replicated to DR are queued. The CGR scanner picks them up and retries.
  • Automatic catch-up — when DR comes back online, the backlog is drained, and all pending objects are replicated.
