Unexpected Federated Users Displayed as Admin Users in StorageGRID GUI

Issue

  • Under Configuration > Admin Users in the Grid Manager GUI, a large number of federated users are displayed as admin users.
  • Only a small number of users are expected based on the mapped Active Directory (AD) admin groups.
  • Most of the listed federated users are not members of any AD group mapped for admin access, nor do they have direct admin rights.
