Unable to login with AD/ LDAP credentials in the StorageGRID Grid Manager due to LDAP server issue

  • StorageGRID 11.7.0 and above versions
  • Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP)

Issue

  • StorageGRID administrator is unable to login to the Grid Manager using LDAP credentials.
  • StorageGRID administrator is able to login using Root credentials.
  • Grid Manager shows "Waiting for services to start".
  • Grid Manager shows the following alert "Identity federation synchronization failure".
  • Error seen in bycast-err.log in support log: 

Validation failed. The LDAP server could not be reached. Review your configuration for errors. Unable to connect Verify your host name, Port and TLS Configuration: LDAP result code 200
