Unable to Access StorageGRID and Frequent I/O Errors on VM-based Admin/Gateway Nodes

Issue

  • Customers report being unable to access the StorageGRID system and frequently encounter I/O errors when attempting to start the Primary Admin Node and Gateway Node VMs.
  • The errors began after a VMware ESXi outage and ONTAP datastore connectivity loss.
  • Even after restoring ESXi connectivity and correcting VLAN configurations, the affected StorageGRID VMs remain non-functional.
