Issue

StorageGRID entered read-only mode after not having any storage capacity left, preventing data ingest and bucket writes while the following symptoms are seen:

  • All buckets become read-only.
  • Write operations failed across the grid.
  • ILM (Information Lifecycle Management) placement alerts due to lack of available space.
