Can metadata reserved space on StorageGRID nodes be reduced ?

Answer

No, the metadata reserved space cannot be decreased but can be increased under certain conditions .

Additional Information

The default value is calculated to have not only enough space for metadata for the objects, but to have enough overhead for running the repairs, compaction and any other necessary background tasks.

To check current used Metadata Reserved Space navigate to Configuration > System > Storage options > Storage Watermarks table.
