After uploading the correct CA-signed certificate to StorageGRID, the browser displays the 'NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID' error.

Issue

  • After installing a Certificate Authority (CA) signed certificate for use with StorageGRID Webscale's management console, the browser displays the following error when accessing the console via IP address.

NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID

  • However, when accessing it using the DNS name, the certificate is shown as valid.
