Issue

  • StorageGRID Grid Manager reports "Erasure-coded groups repair health" alert condition under Support Diagnostics page. This can also be captured using the following Prometheus query: max by (ui_name, state (storagegrid_private_ec_groupmonitor_ecgroup_count{state=~"in_repair|needs_repair"})
  • The alert indicates there are multiple erasure coding (EC) groups in needs_repair state.
