Issue

  • The StorageGRID appliance enters a Needs attention state. Alerts in StorageGRID include:

    • Appliance storage controller drive failure

      One or more drives in a StorageGRID appliance has failed or is not optimal.

      Appliance storage controller hardware issue

      SANtricity software is reporting "Needs attention" for a component in a StorageGRID appliance.
  • SANtricity System Manager and support data log indicate drive hardware failure:
    • DISK_POOL_DRIVE_FAILURE-Recovery Failure Type Code: 443
    • DISK_POOL_RECONSTRUCTION_DRIVE_COUNT_BELOW_THRESHOLD-Recovery Failure Type Code: 424
