Issue

  • A compute chassis temperature sensor is reporting higher then recommended operating conditions.
  • Alerts seen in StorageGRID GUI:
    • Appliance compute controller chassis temperature too high
    • The temperature of the compute controller in a StorageGRID appliance has exceeded a nominal threshold
  • BMC log reports constant:
    • 2bb3 | 05/31/2024 | 06:35:29 | Temperature #0x63 | Upper Non-critical going high | Asserted
    • 2bb4 | 05/31/2024 | 06:36:11 | Temperature #0x63 | Upper Non-critical going high | Deasserted
  • The sensor reporting the alert and temperature can be seen in: /base-os-logs/var/local/gemini-system-status/status.json
