Issue

  • Receiving periodic alerts for : Node network reception frame error

  • The alert triggers on the same interface
  • Frame error counts are high
    • hic2: flags=6211<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SLAVE,MULTICAST>  mtu 1500

  • The alert may self-resolve within minutes but reoccurs.
  • SFP and fiber cable replacements on both the node and switch sides do not prevent recurrence.
  • MTU and FEC settings have been verified as correct and consistent across the network.
