Issue

  • After changing the domain/hostname for StorageGRID capacity tier endpoints, ONTAP was unable to verify object store availability.
  • Object stores appeared offline, and certificate validation failures were observed.

Example log output from ONTAP System Manager:

Cannot verify availability of the object store from node <node_name>.Reason: TLS: Trying to read past end-of-file (a closed socket) while handshaking.
