Answer

This depends on the enabled options such as SAML / SSO, please see the two options below:
  • If Single Sign-On (SSO) is disabled and only LDAP identity federation is enabled, then local admin/root accounts should remain functional even during an LDAP outage.
  • If Single Sign-On (SSO) is enabled together with active directory , then local admin/root accounts cannot be used. For more information please see: Learn about StorageGRID SSO
