StorageGRID decommission paused at erasure coded data due to lack of nodes in storage grade

Issue

  • Decommission pauses at Decommissioning erasure coded data even after resuming.
  • Decommission page within StorageGRID Grid Manager shows:

Storage Node decommission can't complete. Ensure all nodes are running and connected. Then, review all erasure-coding profiles in use to ensure they can still be fulfilled, update the ILM policy and try again. For details about this error, check bycast.log.

or

Decommissioning  procedure has been paused. Select Resume to resume the procedure. While this procedure is paused, ILM evaluation (data migration) will continue to run in the background

  • All nodes are online.
  • bycast.log shows:
