Can the disk firmware versions bundled in StorageGRID 12.0 and later upgrade or hotfix packages for SG6060 appliances be identified before installation?

Answer

  • There is no user interface (UI) or tool provided to check in advance which disk firmware is included in StorageGRID 12.0 and later upgrade or hotfix packages.
  • Disk firmware updates are designed to be applied automatically during upgrades or hotfix application, so there is no mechanism to confirm the included disk firmware versions beforehand. Manual disk firmware application is generally not needed.
  • To check the current disk firmware version on your system, use SANtricity System Manager:
    1. Open SANtricity System Manager.
    2. Navigate to Support > Upgrade Center > Drive Firmware Upgrade.
    3. View the current drive firmware version.
  • It is recommended to compare the disk firmware versions in SANtricity System Manager before and after an upgrade or hotfix to confirm changes.
