Various cassandra related alerts and diagnostic statuses after upgrading to StorageGRID 12.0

NetApp StorageGRID 12.0 (earlier than 12.0.0.6)

Issue

After upgrading to version 12.0 the following alerts and Diagnostic statuses may be reported:

  • Cassandra repair progress slow   -  this is reported due to a miscalculation and the repair is in fact alright. These  alerts will only occur until a few days after the upgrade completed. This issue is resolved in Hotfix 12.0.0.3. 
  • Cassandra auto-compactor error
  • Cassandra compactions overloaded
  • Cassandra offheap memory too high 
  • Cassandra imbalanced SStables
  • A single  node with significantly higher CPU than other nodes, due to cassandra compaction - pendig hotfix

Note that none of this are known to have any functional impact.
