Why Are No Resources Showing on the SnapCenter GUI for the added Vcenter plugin host ?

Answer

  • SC GUI only displays resources and backup details related to plug-ins for databases (e.g., SQL, Oracle, SAP HANA) and file systems
  • SCV is a separate plug-in with its own dedicated web interface and management dashboard. It is not designed to display VMware backup details in the main SnapCenter GUI.
  • SCV can be accessed through the vSphere Web Client under the SnapCenter Plug-in section.

Additional Information

Use the SCV dashboard to:
  • Monitor VM and datastore backups
  • Configure backup policies
  • Perform restores
