  • Linux and Windows hosts running PostgreSQL protected by SnapCenter

Answer

  • The SnapCenter Plug-in for PostgreSQL requires a PostgreSQL database user account with sufficient privileges to perform the required backup, restore, and management operations
    • The minimum privileges required for the database user is assigned from the database perspective and can be found in the PostgresSQL documentation
  • SnapCenter supports RBAC at the application level. You can assign permissions so only certain users or groups (e.g., DBAs) can view, update, or use the credentials for backup and restore operations.
