Verification failed even if verification server is specified as the original server during SnapCenter backup operations

Issue

  • SCSQL backup fails when the original SQL server is configured as the Verification server.
  • The following error is logged in SnapManagerWeb_XXX_YYYYMMDD_XXX.log.

ERROR SnapManagerWeb_123 PID=[1234] TID=[123] System.InvalidOperationException: Cannot open SnapManagerCoreService service on computer 'Source SQL server'. ---> System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: Access is denied
