Unable to add or discover resources of a Windows Plugin Host in the SnapCenter GUI

Issue

  • Failed to add Windows Plug-in Host  or discover disks in the SnapCenter Server GUI under Host section
  • Following error in in SnapManagerweb.log is visible:

Plug-in discovery failed. Error: Unable to connect to the remote server. No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it XX.XX.XX.XX:XXXX

  • Following error message is in SMCoreService.log is visible:

Exception in method: InvokeXML.
System.Net.WebException: The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send. 
---> System.IO.IOException: Unable to read data from the transport connection: 
A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.
