Unable to access the UI if the Domain settings in SnapCenter are removed

Issue

  • Unable to access the UI if the Global Settings - Domain Settings in SC are removed when the username is part of an Active Directory (AD) Group and is Type 'Group' in SC.
  • Error seen the <installation_path>\NetApp\SnapCenter\App_Data\log\SnapManagerWeb_<id>.log:

DEBUG SnapManagerWeb PID=[1608] TID=[42] GetRolesFromGroupsByUserNameAndDomain using LDAP protocol
DEBUG SnapManagerWeb PID=[1608] TID=[42] Querying AuthorizationGroups
DEBUG SnapManagerWeb PID=[1608] TID=[42] GetRolesFromGroupsByUserNameAndDomain FailedAn error occurred while enumerating the groups.  The group could not be found.

  • If a username is Type 'User' it can log in to SC without the Domain Settings configured.
