  • SnapCenter Server (SC) versions 4.7 to 4.9P2. 
  • SnapCenter Plug-in for Microsoft SQL Server (SCSQL)

Issue

  • SC is unable to backup a database with a space at the end of the name and is skipped.
  • Error seen in the <installation_path>\Program Files\NetApp\SnapCenter\SMCore\log\SMCore_<id>.log:

DEBUG SMCore_559508 PID=[8392] TID=[85] GetBackupMetadataActivity Unable to find database - <database_path_with_space>
Could not find file 'S:\sql\SP19PROD\sp19p_NintexWorkflowDB_NintexWorkflowDB_Collab_RizivInami_2  \2023_05_10_15_20_00_841.TRB'.)

  • Error shows the space highlighted in the file
