Issue

  • Since upgrading the SnapCenter to version 4.6, SnapCenter server (process w3wp.exe) is using excessive CPU and memory
  • It appears that SnapCenter periodically consumes all available CPU and memory
  • SnapManagerWeb.log shows System.OutOfMemoryException

ERROR SnapManagerWeb_1423345 PID=[4688] TID=[27] System.OutOfMemoryException: Error: Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown.

  • Backups fail with error
The underlying connection was closed: A connection that was expected to be kept alive was closed by server
