SnapCenter Server 4.6 DR Failover to alternative host fails host key error

Issue

When testing or applying the DR failover from one SnapCenter Server to another, the following errors are seen in the SMCore job log:
Failed to get the host key. Error: Data at the root level is invalid. Line 1, position 1.Source: System.Xml
Stack Trace:    at System.Xml.XmlTextReaderImpl.Throw(Exception e)

It's also possible that the DR seems to run fine, but SnapCenter is not functional after the "failover".
