SnapCenter SQL clone fails when plug-ins are below version 6.0 and Server is 6.0

  • SnapCenter Plug-in for SQL (SCSQL)

Issue

Clone jobs fail with a failure to get volume information:

DEBUG SMCore Volume xyz not found in storage systems.
ERROR SMCore Failed to get the volume information for xyz

Another error may be seen depending on how the SMCore.config has the IsRestEnabledForStorageConnection and  IsRestEnabledForLowerONTAP keys configured:

DEBUG SMCore Exit::ReleaseCloneLock
DEBUG SMCore Activity name: Releasing virtual resource clone lock: 0 -
ERROR SMCore Exception in PerformClone Failed to Mount/Attach Disk:- Error during create NAS datastore
ERROR SMCore STACKTRACE   at SnapMgrCoreService.Workflows.Activities.CloneStorageAndVirtualResource.performClone(Dictionary`2 backupMap, Dictionary`2 storageFootPrintMap, SmWorkflowContext workflowContext, SmRequest request) inner exception
DEBUG SMCore PerformClone exit
