SnapCenter Oracle backups fail with "Data Guard standby database" error

Issue

SnapCenter Oracle backups start failing with the following errors seen:
 
  • SMCore_<JobID>_<Date_Time>.log

 

ERROR SMCore_<JobID> PID=[xxxx] TID=[xx] ErrorCode (10001), ErrorMessage ( Discovery failed for object <DB_Name> with error PL-SCO-20006: Discovery of database files failed for database <DB_Name> on host <Hostname> with error PL-SCO-20035: ONLINE FULL backup is not supported for Data Guard standby database..)
