SCE backups failed with "Could not load file or assembly 'SCECoreUtilities.dll' or one of its dependencies" after upgrading the plug-ins

Applies to

  • SnapCenter Server  (SC) 4.8 and above
  • SnapCenter Plug-in for Exchange (SCE) 4.8 and above

Issue

  • SCE backup fails with following error, after the plug-ins have been upgraded:

Error SCE PID=[52656] TID=[43224] Could not load file or assembly 'SCECoreUtilities.dll' or one of its dependencies. The specified module could not be found.   at NetApp.SnapManager.FullBackupStrategy.Backup(SmBackupRequest request)
   at NetApp.SnapManager.BackupManager.Backup(SmBackupRequest request)

  • The upgrade was successful and no errors seen in the upgrade.
