Since SnapCenter 4.5P2 upgrade Log Directory snapshot retention cannot be changed

Issue

  • After upgrade to SCSQL 4.5P2 to resolve bug CSNAPC-2594 Log Directory snapshot retention cannot be changed
  • Attempt to edit the SQL Policy using PowerShell (*) failed and retention setting for number of snapshots will automatically revert to 2 from 4.5P2

*) the article says that default is seven snapshots, which was until 4.5P2, which reduced it to two, since the Logs are kept inside the LUN/VMDK. 
Two is the minimum for snapmirror transfers, except when the transfers take longer than from one backup to the next.
