SCW installation failure - Failed to Bind the port with SSL certificate

Issue

  • SCW plugin installation failure due to error shown in the SnapCenter Server - InstallShield Wizard:

 Failed to Bind the port with SSL Certificate.

  • The corresponding SMCore_Install log shows an error when attempting to create the port binding with the SSL certificate:

  • The Windows System Event Viewer log shows Event ID 36871:

A fatal error occurred while creating a TLS server credential. The internal error state is 10013. The SSPI client process is SYSTEM (PID: 4).
