SCV restore from secondary fails, leaving NetApp Mount Datastore vCenter task stuck

Issue

  • SCV restore job fails with error:
Exception while calling pre-restore on SCV: Error occured while calling SCV: Server Error
  • The following two tasks are stuck in Recent Tasks of vSphere Client.
    • NetApp Restore : 2%
    • NetApp Mount Datastore: 35%
  • vmcontrol_jetty_server.log shows message:

2025-11-07T09:30:46.0000554+00:00 INFO  SCV root com.vmware.vijava.vim25.NoPermission
