SCV delete resource group - 401 error requires HTTP authentication

Applies to

  • SnapCenter Plug-in for VMware vSphere (SCV) 4.8 or later
  • SCV is upgraded from 4.5 or earlier version
  • VM or datastore had been added to the resource group(s) in SCV 4.5 or earlier and they had not been modified since then
  • VM or datastore in the resource group(s) has been deleted from vSphere

Issue

  • Attempting to Delete the resource group from SCV plug-in page in vSphere Client fails with error:

Failed to delete resource group. [401] This request requires HTTP authentication.

Failed to delete resource group
  • Attempting to Suspend the resource group fails with error:

Could not find atleast one of the entity. Please edit the resource group and then perform the operation.
