SCV backups fail - Unable to discover resources on SCV: Unable to get storage details for datastore[datastore] with managed object reference [datastore-ID]

Issue

  • SCV Backups fail with an error

"Unable to get storage details for datastore <DATASTORE NAME> with managed object reference datastore-<ID#>. Storage system(s) may need to be added, also ensure that the associated host is in a connected state.”, after storage controller head upgrade from FAS8040 to AFF-A400.

  • VMcontrol Log reports the following
