SCV backup job fails to delete VM snapshots and raises no errors

Applies to

  • SnapCenter Plug-in for VMware vSphere
  • vCenter session was timed out before unquiesce operation was forced to wait  for a long time by another backup job due to vCenter performance issue

Issue

  • Although the status of backup job is successful, VM snapshots created by the job are not deleted
  • vmcontrol_<JobID>.log shows API exception
