SCV backup fails by "Snapshot copy operation failed" with "Error code: 13115"

Issue

  • SCV backup fails by error:

Failed in volume '<VOLUME>', Snapshot copy operation failed for volume <VOLUME>. Error code: 13115.

  • wfe_<JOB_ID>.log also indicate the same error:

<_message>Snapshot operation failed [Storage System: <SVM>]Snapshot operation failed for some of the volumes [Storage System: <SVM>] [Volume:<VOLUME>] Error: Snapshot copy operation failed for volume <VOLUME>. Error code: 13115. Failed in volume '<VOLUME>', Snapshot copy operation failed for volume <VOLUME>. Error code: 13115.</_message>

  • vmcontrol_<JOB_ID>.log indicates that the name of resource group contains non-English characters

DEBUG <SCV> --- [tp1825027294-13] tectionGroupToProtectionGroupTransformer : The Configuration Type for the protection group <PROTECTION_GROUP_NAME> is PROTECTION_GROUP

  • ONTAP /etc/log/mlog/audit.log shows ZAPI snapshot-multicreate completes with no error
