SCV Dashboard shows no data caused by root partition of SCV corruption

• SCV Dashboad in vSphere Client shows no data.

• Status in Plug-in Details of SCV GUI (https://SCV-IP:8080) is Disconnected with error:
  Failed to VMware plugin status: Error occurred while calling SCV: Service Unavailable. Please make sure the plugin is up and running.. Protection Service status error: Unauthorized

• kern.log on SCV host reports errors:
