Issue

  • SCSQL plug-in upgrade from 4.8 to 4.9 fails with WMI connection error seen in the <installation_path>\NetApp\SnapCenter\App_Data\log\SnapManagerWeb_<id>.log:

INFO  SnapManagerWeb_5510599 PID=[6824] TID=[20] Connecting to server: Hostname

  • All necessary ports are open including 445 and 135 for the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) service.
  • Host has the correct entries in DNS and is reachable from the SnapCenter server host.
