SCSQL picks remote verification hosts for local instances causing VMDK access issues

Description

Cloning and mounting to an instance not local to the instance site results in failure to mount.
 
For example for VMDK usage on NFS Datastores:
com.vmware.esx.hostctl.default:Operation failed, diagnostics report: Mount failed: Unable to complete Sysinfo operation.  Please see the VMkernel log file for more details.: Unable to connect to NFS server
com.netapp.nvpf.api.model.ApiException: com.vmware.esx.hostctl.default:Operation failed, diagnostics report: Mount failed: Unable to complete Sysinfo operation.  Please see the VMkernel log file for more details.: Unable to connect to NFS server
    at com.netapp.aegis.mount.NfsMountStrategy.mountDatastoreToESXHost(NfsMountStrategy.java:600)
