Applies to

  • SnapCenter Server (SC)
  • SnapCenter Plug-in for Microsoft SQL Server (SCSQL)

Issue

SnapCenter fails to delete old snapshots according to the configured retention
policy.

Observed behavior:
--- Backup jobs finish with a ???Success??? status.

--- Retention logic is calculated (e.g., ???Number of Backups to be deleted: 1???),
but deletion never occurs in ONTAP.

--- Example SCSQL job log
SnapCenter Plug-in for Microsoft
SQL Server
Available

SnapCenter Plug-in for Microsoft Windows

--- Example SMCore log
