SCO 6.1 sccli clone fails with pl-sco-20032 due to lock file timing changes

Issue

After upgrading SnapCenter Plug-in for Oracle from 5.0P2 to 6.1, when using a script to check for the absence of the lock file on the Oracle database before proceeding to create the clone, it fails with the error: 
 
PL-SCO-20032: canExecute operation failed with error: PL-SCO-20009: Operation failed.
The database SID <name> might be in use by another SnapCenter Plug-in for Oracle Database operation
