SCE and SCW plug-in upgrade to 4.6 or 4.7 fails to register the navssprv provider

Issue

  • Upgrade of SCE and SCW to 4.6 or 4.7 fails to register the navssprv with the following error seen in the Job Details:

A fatal error occurred during Installation. Check the Installer log "\\Host_IP\C$\Windows\SnapCenter plugin\Install_id\SnapCenter_Windows_Host_Plug-in_Install_id.log" for more information

  • Error seen in C:\Windows\SnapCenter plugin\SnapCenter_Windows_Host_Plug-in_Install_<Job_ID>.log on the SCE host(s):

  • The SCE,SCW and SMCore install logs will say they have been successfully installed
  • Possibly in SC Hosts view will see Services Stopped in the Overall Status and the Version will not have updated
