Running the SnapCenter 6.x Linux Plug-ins as root fails when java 11 is not default

Issue

  • Every time the SCC or SPL service is restarted, it starts with the older 1.8 java, even though Java 11 was set as default on installation.
  • This causes failures on usage, due to certain functionality requiring Java 11.
  • spl_init.YYYY-MM-DD.log shows JAVA_HOME is updated to java-1.8.0 folder.
