Description

With a firewall between the two halves of the failover Cluster, only allowing Windows Cluster traffic, and remote SQL Server access traffic, but no block protocol (storage IP access), how can you run verifications not only when active side is up, but also after switchover to passive side ?

You can only define one or more verification servers which are selected round-robin for verifications, and doesn't allow assigning according to active side.

So, when using the local node instance in the Failover cluster for verification, verification would fail after an active-passive failover:
cloning would not be working on the passive-gone-active side still using the originally active host for verifications.
