Description

Basis: SQL Server installed inside a VM using VMDK virtual disks for the Database and Log files (and the Log Directory).
During verification, the process creates clones of the VMware datastores, and mounts the VMDKs inside the VM, usually under C:\scmnpt\ as mpdisk<NUM> mount directory. Any crash or other disruption can cause the process not to clean up these disks from the Windows VM, or the clones from the vCenter/vSphere.

The SnapCenter GUI still shows these MPDisk paths for the Host that cloned the original virtual disks from the Backup snapshot, which identifies the Host you need to go to for the initial clean-up part.
