Datastore backup mount fails after upgrading SCV to 6.0 or 6.0P1

SnapCenter Plug-in for VMWare vSphere (SCV) 6.0 and 6.0P1

Issue

After upgrading SCV to 6.0 or 6.0P1, mounting of datastore backups fails with the following errors:
 
vmcontrol_<JobID>.log
 
ERROR databroker --- [      Thread-33] c.n.a.s.c.SnapManagerStorageServiceImpl  : [JobId:<JobID>] Mount Backup failed: Failed to create the volume clone.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
ERROR databroker --- [      Thread-33] c.n.a.m.VmfsMountStrategy                : [JobId:<JobID>] Failed to create LUN clone <Clone_Name> on volume <Volume_Name> Failed to create the volume clone.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
