Issue

  • A cloned volume datastore remains after restoring a VM to an other datastore fails.
  • vmcontrol_<JOBID>.log includes the following log:

VsphereService                   : Insufficient disk space on datastore '<datastore>'.
MigrationService                 : [JobId:10554] Relocate VM Task failed
AbstractRestoreStrategy          : [JobId:10554] Error in relocating VM: <restore target VM>
AbstractRestoreStrategy          : Clearing the mounted datastore map to prevent unmount. The temporary mounted datastore will need to be manually unmounted from the Backup
AbstractRestoreStrategy          : ERROR_RESTOREMANAGER_FAILED_TO_RELOCATE_VM : <restore target VM>
