Failed to remove stale disk resources from SnapCenter with Error: Cannot delete a parent row: a foreign key constraint fails

Issue

  • While attempting to refresh disks on the SCE host, the refresh resource job failed with the error:  Unable to Discover Resources on Host
  • This problem began after an unmount of the LUN clones from the server following a system crash. 
  • SnapCenter was unable to remove certain resources from its database, resulting in failed discovery operations. 
  • Stale entries in the SnapCenter NSM database, related to deleted or renamed Exchange databases, were causing foreign key constraint errors.
