Cannot access SnapCenter after upgrade to SnapCenter 5.0 with MySQL error

Issue

  • During upgrade to SnapCenter 5.0+
  • Upgrade fails silently, minimal logging available.
  • MYSQL log is only dated log in temp folder
  • MySQL installer fails after the log entry: 'Main Log: Start the MySQL Server Installation....' and nothing else afterwards
  • After failed upgrade, attempting to restart upgrade fails with 'Cannot validate MySQL connection'
  • After failed upgrade, cannot access SnapCenter via website getting IIS error.
