SCV cannot be deployed after upgrade of vCenter Server to 7.0 Update 3

  • SnapCenter Plug-in for VMware vSphere (SCV) 4.5 or earlier
  • vCenter Server 7.0 Update 3

Issue

  • Under vCenter - Administration - Client Plugins the SCV deployment shows as failed:  

Error deploying plug-in. org.apache.felix.resolver.reason.ReasonException  Unable to resolve /usr/lib/vmware-vsphere-ui/server/work/tmp/319310124582358962com.netapp.scvm.webclient-4.5.0.6025788.esa/scvm_webui_service.jar: 
 missing requirement org.apache.aries.subsystem.core.archive.ImportPackageRequirement: 

  • vSphere Web Client UI doesn't show SCV GUI.
